Brusk Family: Documentary Photography at Wildcat Park in Manhattan, KS
I think we all can agree that there is nothing that screams “Fall” more than a fire pit and s’mores, right? When you combine those elements into your Fall Family Photos, the session just smacks of fun. This family has a history in camping and hiking, starting long before their two little boys came around. The husband and wife use to go hiking and camping in Colorado every few years and are honestly two of the most “hard core” survival people I’ve ever met!
So when they decided to build a fire and make s’mores for their Family Photography Session, I felt this fit them perfectly. I love how they brought their pups along with them too. When families ask me about including their 4-legged family members in sessions, my answer is always “Yes, please!!!”. I love animals and have 4-legged family members myself, so I know how important that is to capture. The bonus is when your 2-legged kids and your 4-legged kids get along so well, and I get to capture some of that cuteness at your session.
Of course, we had to let the kiddos run off some of that sugared-up energy at the end of the session! I mean, what kind of family photographer would I be if I insisted on them sitting still with all that sugar built up!
Thanks so much, Brusk Family, for allowing me to capture you all together, in such a fun and unconventional way!
Have you ever considered a Documentary Session for your own Family Photos? It’s a perfectly laid back and fun outing for everyone involved (husband and kids included!). Head on over to Start Your Story and tell me about the session you have in mind. Or, just tell me you’re interested and need help creating one! I have loads of ideas.
Till next time…
