Meet and Greet

Hey Everyone!

So, I thought I'd post a little more about me and a little on what you'll be seeing here on my blog. First off, if you've not read my About Me section, hop over there now. Everything else will make so much more sense after you look over that.

Go ahead on over, I'll wait...

Okay, done? Great! So, this is me:

Yep, I'm laughing. I usually am (unless it's early and I'm still on my first cup of coffee). I LOVE laughing. Like, freaking love it. And I'll laugh at pretty much anything: puns, knock-knock jokes, funny things kids say, really lame dad jokes. All of it. Shamelessly.

As for this blog, I'll feature differnt things here. There will absolutely be client sessions that show up here. I want you all to know what you can expect from my images and what I'm up to currently in sessions.

Other than that, I'll blog about what I'm currently working on for myself, like my Personal Projects (especially if they're really outside-of-the-box fun). I photograph quite a bit of our every day lives. Last summer, I did my first project in a long time. It was call "100 Days of Summer". I basically took 1 picture, every day, from Memorial Day to Labor Day, giving me a glance of our summer. It was so fun and I captured so many unexpected things.

For example, we went to a Farmstead and fed baby goats (twice) and I captured this cuteness:

Or the fun we had at the pool together:

Or our trip out on the lake on our friend's boat:

And how we get ice cream entirely way too much:

And then of course, my favorite: the multitude of carnivals that happen near us during the summer:

By the end of the summer, my toddler had grown so much. She found out how much she loved to go down the slide at the local pool (and this momma found out that, even though she may be my mini-me, The Toddler has her daddy's sense of adventure. Swipe left for the full effect):

So why am I showing you this? Well, in part, it's selfish. You see, I'll be doing blog posts like this to keep myself accountable. I take a ridiculous amount of pictures of our every day. In fact, I'm currently working through my second "100 Days of Summer" project for this summer. I find our every day beautiful and there are so many things I don't want to forget (like her face on the last image above, when she hits that water and LOVES every bit of can almost hear the squeal of delight).

The other reason is because I want you to know that you can have images like this too. I love photographing our every day life. I know I create these images, not just for the artist in me, but also for my toddler, for when she's older. She already loves to look through our photo albums of photographs from our vacation to the beach last year. My heart is for you to have epic images on your walls, in books on your coffee tables and in frames on your desk of you family memories. Because time is fleeting, and these days are amazing.

So what are you waiting for? Head over to Start Your Story and jump in for an amazing session. I promise, you won't regret it.
