The Simons | Family and Childhood Photography in Manhattan, KS

What’s the biggest compliment you’ve ever received?

Was it on that pot roast you spent hours researching recipes for, buying and prepping the ingredients and carefully watching the temperature as the time crept on?

Or was it on that painting you created? You know the one, it hangs proudly in your living room right now.

Maybe it was that report you had to prepare at work, that took literally days researching all the stats and numbers, not to mention all the time it took to figure out how to make it into a chart in Excel (spreadsheets, am I right??)

As a Family Photographer, one of the biggest compliments I could ever receive are repeat clients.

The ones who reach out every year or couple years to update their family photos.

The ones who give me a front seat to the show that is watching their kids grow up.

The Simon Family is one such client.

Their very first Family Photo Sesh was when their oldest daughter was a little baby. They’ve had 3 sessions with me now and each time gets better and better.

I have them snuggle together as a family, they play games like “where’s mommy’s nose” (that ones really hilarious when the kids accidentally (on purpose?) stick their finger up Mom’s nose).

One of my favorites to play with little girls when they come to the session in a dress is the “twirling game”. Another fave with really little ones is “peek-a-boo”.

Here are a few from their Family Photo Session at Wildcat Park in Manhattan, KS. It was a cloudy and cool day, with summer just around the corner. We took our time and enjoyed the solitude of the park.

Wasn’t that just the best? Knowing they’ll be back, I already cannot wait to plan our next session together. Their girls will be a little older, a little more personality packed and Josh and Kayla will be even more settled into this journey called “Parenthood”.

I cannot stinkin’ wait.

Till next time…
