Personal Branding Session: Alyssa Drummond, Life Coach | Manhattan, Kansas Brand Photographer

One of the first things Alyssa told me when she reached out to me about a Branding Photo Session for her new business as a Life Coach was “I’m not your typical Life Coach.” 

I honestly get excited when someone describes themselves as “out of the box”. It’s partly because I love a good challenge, taking someone’s ideas and turning them into photos they can use to speak to their ideal client.

The other side of me finds validity in that statement of being “outside the box.” I’ve always felt a little “outside the box” myself, so when someone else states that about themselves, I find instant connection.

Alyssa’s Coaching brand speaks to traditionally-minded women who enjoy the Art of Homemaking. Alyssa finds joy and fulfillment in supporting her husband through keeping of the house and other home duties. She knows she’s not the only female who feels this way, so she markets her coaching to help other women who also have a more traditional mindset of Homemaking.

As we spoke, I knew the location for Alyssa’s shoot would matter the most. She already knew how she wanted to present her brand. Finding the right location would simply make that brand speak louder. Then I found the most perfect Airbnb: an older home that had been tastefully restored and decorated, with crystal door handles, marble countertops and the oak trim polished. 

It was simply stunning and elegant.

During our photoshoot, Alyssa focused on the more traditional Homemaking tasks like cooking, dishes and making the bed. As a modern business owner, interested in reaching a wide audience, she also has a Youtube channel. So we made sure to incorporate that into her session as well.

Alyssa and I had a great time at her session, enjoyed our stunning location and created some perfect photos that captured her brand and spoke to her ideal client. I enjoyed working with her and am excited to see how her brand grows!
